The Insiders: Enjoy a well-rounded Sunday in Concord
We prefer a well-rounded Sunday. You know, one in which we spend most of the afternoon on the couch, watching sports on television and eating an assortment of snacks that are well-rounded into perfect spherical shapes – cookies, cheese balls, meatballs. You get the picture. But for those of you who prefer actual well-roundedness, we’ve got something for you today, too.
You can enjoy music, movies, gaming and a show, all without leaving the city today. Not bad, eh?
NHTI is hosting an AGGP Free Play Weekend, featuring games of all sorts from Friday evening through tonight. There will be traditional board games, role-playing games, computer and console games and even new and experimental games. Not included: freeze tag. But that’s not a deal breaker. Not quite, at least.
If you’re looking to take in a show, mix one in water and have at it. Oh, “take in” means watch a show? In that case, stop at the Capitol Center for the Arts at 2 this afternoon for a Specticast presentation of Swan Lake. Tickets are $15 or $12 for students. Movies more your speed? Red River Theatres continues its I Love a Mystery Series with a showing of A Night To Remember at 4 p.m.
And finally, if you’re looking for some tunage, swing by Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. to hear the stylings of Paul Bourgelais.
Meanwhile, if you need us, we’ll be over here trying to figure out how to make spherical tacos.
