U.S. attorney, FBI join police investigation
The U.S. attorney’s office and the FBI have joined the investigation of three police officers in Seabrook, who have been suspended after a video surfaced showing an officer slamming a suspect into a wall at the police station more than four years ago.
U.S. Attorney John Kacavas said an FBI agent has been assigned to help with the investigation. Kacavas told WMUR that his office could determine whether the incident involved any civil rights violations.
Town Manager Bill Manzi said the officers were put on paid administrative leave Tuesday, one day after the video appeared on YouTube.
The person who posted the video did not respond to an email seeking comment.
A police dispatcher said there would be no comment from the department.
