Next month marks the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ first visit to the United States. Did their music change your life? Send your Beatles memories from 1964 and beyond to letters@cmonitor.com. Include your name and town. We’ll publish a selection in early February.

I was just a toddler then

Several childhood memories....I was watching this. The Kennedy funeral and any NASA launch, space event. Those were the highlights.

Watching it of course. Everybody watched Ed Sullivan, no matter who was on.

my family watched the ed sulivan show every sunday night it was the best show on' the beatles were probably his greatest guest.

Not even a twinkle in my parent's eye.

It is one of the few vivid childhood memories. Their hairstyle was the most shocking thing about them at the time.
