The Pittsfield police are asking for help identifying a man who robbed the Northway Bank at 11 yesterday morning.

The suspect, who did not show a weapon, got away with an undisclosed sum, the police said in a statement.

The suspect is 6-foot-2, weighs about 280 pounds, has short hair and wears glasses. He had a “couple day’s growth for a beard” and was wearing a black T-shirt and gray sweatpants, the police said. He was believed to be driving a late model dark-gray Buick, possibly an Enclave model, with Maine plates.

The bank branch is located at 55 Main St. It is expected to be open tomorrow, a customer service representative said.

The Pittsfield police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 435-7535.
