One day left to file for Merrimack Valley School Board election
Residents of Boscawen, Loudon, Penacook, Salisbury and Webster have one more day to file to run for a seat on the Merrimack Valley School Board.
Five seats will be filled by voters March 6:
∎ A three-year term for a member from Boscawen.
∎ A three-year term for a member from Penacook.
∎ A three-year term for a member from Loudon.
∎ A three-year term for an at-large member.
∎ A one-year term for a representative from Salisbury, to finish the term being served by Seelye Longnecker following David Longnecker’s sudden death last January.
All candidates will be elected at-large.
As of yesterday, incumbent Troy Cowan of Loudon, incumbent Lorrie Carey of Boscawen and Dave Merwin of Salisbury had filed to run.
Incumbents Jim Lavery and Audrey Carter, both of Penacook, had not filed for re-election as of yesterday, and could not be reached for comment.
Residents interested in filing may do so at the district office at 105 Community Dr. in Penacook.
