Concord police continue inquiry into possible fatal drug overdose
The Concord police continue to investigate what they have called a possible fatal drug overdose over the weekend at a boarding house on North Spring Street.
Emergency officials responded to the residence shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday and found a 47-year-old woman unconscious. The woman, who officials have yet to name publicly, was taken to Concord Hospital and was later pronounced dead.
Police spokesman Lt. Timothy O’Malley said an autopsy was completed yesterday. An official cause of death is pending toxicology results, which could take weeks or even months. O’Malley said evidence recovered at the scene suggested that the death was at least partly drug related, but he would not give specifics.
No residents present at the home during the incident have been arrested or charged with any related crimes, O’Malley said.
