Concord city clerk’s office to renew dog licenses
It’s time to renew dog licenses.
Per state law, every owner or keeper of a dog 4 months old or older must license that dog. A license is effective from May 1 to April 30 of the following year.
The Concord City Clerk’s office will begin its annual dog licensing season Tuesday. The fees for a new license are as follows:
∎ Nonspayed or non-neutered: $10.
∎ Spayed or neutered: $7.50.
∎ Dogs under 8 months old: $7.50.
∎ Five or more dogs belonging to same owner: $20 total.
∎ First dog for owner who is 65 years old or older: $2. The regular rate will apply for any additional dogs.
Concord residents may mail payments to renew their dog licenses to the clerk’s office at 41 Green St., or visit the office in person. Checks may be made payable to the city of Concord.
A license may only be issued if the city has current rabies information for the dog on file. Call the clerk’s office at 225-8500 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org to check whether that information is current.
Owners who license a dog after May 31 will be subject to additional fees. Owners who have relocated out of Concord or Penacook, or who no longer have their pet, should call or email the clerk’s office to update those records.
The clerk’s office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with extended hours until 6 p.m. on Thursdays.
