North Hampton town library on national historic register

The North Hampton Library has been named to the National Register of Historic Places.

The library was built in 1907 and is an example of Tudor Revival style, with fieldstone, stucco, gables, heavy timber brackets and leaded casement windows. The building was converted to town offices in the 1970s. It also houses North Hampton’s Heritage Commission.

The library joins more than 40 libraries and former library buildings in the state that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
