Missing halfway house inmate found in Concord apartment
An inmate at the men’s halfway house in Concord is back in prison more than a week after he went missing.
Jeremy Slack, 37, was arrested Sunday evening about 5:45 p.m. in an apartment at 74 Rumford St., Concord police Lt. Tim O’Malley said. O’Malley said the department received an anonymous tip about Slack’s whereabouts.
Officers reported that Slack was detained without incident, O’Malley said, but they did not indicate whether he had discussed the circumstances around his March 21 disappearance. He left that morning for work and failed to return about noon as scheduled, officials said.
Corrections Department spokesman Jeff Lyons said Slack was returned to the prison late Sunday evening. Lyons did not have any other immediate information on the capture.
