Pembroke man dies in Saturday morning crash
A 25-year-old Pembroke man died yesterday after an early morning car crash in Hooksett.
Jacob Kipp was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the state police. At 4:45 a.m., the police responded to a one-car crash on Interstate 293 North, near the ramp for Interstate 93 southbound. Evidence at the scene suggested Kipp’s Toyota SUV was unable to negotiate the curve on the I-93 on-ramp, the police said. He struck a guardrail on the northern side of the ramp and was ejected from the car, the police said.
The state police were assisted at the scene by members of the Hooksett Fire Department. The ramp was closed for about three hours while the police investigated.
The investigation is open, the police said yesterday afternoon. They are asking witnesses to contact Troop D barracks at 666-3333.
