The Insiders: Let’s all parade downtown to watch the parade

You could say we’re live-in-the-moment kind of people here at the Insider. That’s why we spend most of our time telling you fun things to do in a few hours. Today, though, you get a little more lead time – that’s what happens when you have a long holiday weekend.

We’re going to tell you about something to do – gasp – tomorrow. That’s right, we grabbed our crystal ball and looked 24 hours into the future. All we really saw was hazy glass, though. So we put it down and decided to tell you about Concord’s Memorial Day parade, which begins at 9 tomorrow morning. Celebrate the reason you’ve got the day off from work with a parade that begins at Market Basket on Spruce Street and moves along Pleasant and Main streets with a stop for a ceremony at the Old North Cemetery. The parade finishes at the State House with a commemoration, speeches from veteran group leaders and others, including U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster. You don’t want to miss it.

Of course, we don’t want to leave you hanging for this afternoon, though. And thankfully there’s still some cool stuff to do. Living Yoga is getting in the spirit of the holiday weekend by offering all scheduled classes by donation only, with all proceeds being donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. Nobody will be turned away for an inability to donate, either. Today’s class (flow yoga) is from 9 to 10:30 a.m., and tomorrow there are two classes, Ashtanga Mysore from 6:30 to 9 a.m. and flow yoga from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. Veterans and military personnel are always welcome to practice free at Living Yoga, as well.

Also, the Concord Community Music School is hosting a senior recital tonight at 6 featuring Audrey Budington and Lucas Dziezanowski.
