Concord hires new water treatment superintendent
Concord has a new water treatment superintendent.
Maco Philippon took over the position this week, according to a press release from the General Services Department. As water treatment superintendent, he is responsible for overseeing the city’s water treatment plant and the supply of drinking water in Concord.
Philippon was most recently the operations manager for the Westford Water Department in Massachusetts. According to the release, he has more than 25 years of operating and managerial experience with water and wastewater systems. His prior positions include project manager for Weston & Sampson Inc., distribution manager for Pennichuck Water Works and engineering coordinator for Consumers NH Water Company.
He is currently a member of the board of directors at the New Hampshire Water Works Association, and he has previously served as its president. He is also a committee member for the New England Water Works Association.
