Front window broken at House of India in Concord

The Concord police are investigating who or what shattered a front window at House of India restaurant Tuesday night.

Sgt. Mike Guarino said an officer responded to a report of broken glass at the Pleasant Street restaurant about 10:15 p.m.

“We’re just trying to determine whether this was intentional or an accident,” Guarino said.

Owner Gurcharan Singh said the staff had closed the restaurant and went home about 9:30 p.m.

The police are still investigating the incident, Guarino said.

Singh said nothing else was damaged or stolen from the restaurant. House of India is open for business as usual.
