At the end of a quarter-mile foot trail lies a beach along the Merrimack River, near the Riverfront Conservation Area in Canterbury. It provided calm shallow water for a relaxing afternoon on July 25, and it is a spot that Samantha Butler, Rindy Ricard and Kyle Gould, all of Boscawen, have been visiting for roughly 20 years.
