The Insiders: The Fresh Prince thinks you should have the Girl Scouts wash your car today
Girl Scout cookie season may be over (unless you were smart like us and bought 237 boxes), but Girl Scout doing-stuff-to-make-your-life-easier season sure isn’t. At least it doesn’t seem to be, what with today’s Girl Scout Benefit Car Wash at Arnie’s Place at 164 Loudon Road.
Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. today, you can swing through to have them shine up your car for a donation, a move that guarantees you’ll be welcome at any Fresh Prince-sanctioned afternoon barbecue, assuming you are leanin’ to the side and have every intention of going about 2 mph. Other requirements include frontin’ and maxin’.
And we’ll let you in on a little secret: Even if you’re out of Girl Scout cookies, you could still be in luck. The Arnie’s website says they offer Girl Scout Thin Mint ice cream. We can’t guarantee availability today, but the promise alone should be enough to get you out the door. And it’s all for a good cause (the car wash, not the ice cream), as money raised will help support Girl Scout Troop 22386 in Concord as they raise money for a trip to Rocking Horse Ranch in Highland, N.Y.

Today’s the kind of day to have dessert first (and maybe third, after dinner), because that would allow you to swing by Hermanos later in the evening to hear State Street Combo, playing live starting at 6:30 p.m.
