The Insiders: You can juggle chainsaws later; check out this movie at Red River tonight instead
Wednesday nights are good nights for a lot of things. Dinosaur hunting, chainsaw juggling and pudding eating contests are three of our favorite activities. But Wednesdays are also good for watching great movies, which we presume is why Red River Theatres established the Great Movies on Wednesday Evenings with Barry Steelman series. Tonight’s installment is The Tall T, which will be shown at 8 p.m. and will feature a brief post film commentary and discussion session.
The movie stars Randolph Scott as Pat Brennan, described as a “genial rancher,” which is really the best kind of rancher, non jolly division. He and the daughter of the richest man in Arizona end up being kidnapped by murderous outlaws, which sounds like a pretty compelling plot twist. The film was added to the National Film Registry in 2000, so that’s a thing. For a complete list of other movies in the series – all of which start at 8 p.m. and include the post film commentary sessions – visit redrivertheatres.org and click on the special events link under the RRT Films/Events header.
Also tonight, Rob Wolfe will be playing at Hermanos beginning at 6:30 p.m.
