The Insiders: Kids made art, now you can make a difference by visiting Bicentennial Square

Art comes in many forms. For instance, when Keith tries to paint stuff – as he inexplicably has done twice for the Insider now – it comes in the form of awkward looking things. At today’s Concord Arts Market, though, there’s art of maybe the best kind.

Art created by patients at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth will be on display at the arts market, which runs as usual from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Bicentennial Square. The artwork will all be for sale, with all proceeds being donated back to the hospital. Add all that up and it’s one great big pile of awesomeness. There are worse ways to spend a Saturday than walking through a splendid outdoor arts market to help children battling illness. Like, any of the other ways would be worse ways. And the whole thing was cooked up by Bow High School senior Rebecca Rotman as her senior project, community art with a purpose. That’s good work, Rebecca. Also today, Mike Stockbridge will play live at Hermanos beginning at 7:30 p.m.
