Letter: This is not the American way
The election is shaping up to be very close. Every vote counts in this critical swing state. As a young American I see two opposing paths for this country. One goes down the road of crippling debt and unsustainable spending, while the other cuts the uncontrolled spending, balances the budget and cuts taxes on all Americans.
We cannot afford the current spending and debt we’re accumulating. It is putting my generation and the next generation into hopeless chains. This is not the American way. This is not right for freedom-loving New Hampshire citizens.
President Obama promised to cut the deficit in half in 2008. Where did that promise go? In 2008 he said the rate of spending and debt in the previous eight years was irresponsible and unpatriotic. The national debt has now risen over $5 trillion in only four years to more than $16 trillion. Obama has spent more of our money in four years than all the previous presidents combined! Folks, this isn’t good news. We simply can’t afford four more years.
The good news is that we can change this. We must stand up and say enough is enough. Vote for Mitt Romney on Nov. 6. Our country’s future is at stake.
