Feast of a donation for Santa Fund

The 36th Annual Santa Fund Run is receiving a feast of a donation from two Nashua Panera Bread locations.

General Managers Carrie Ford of the Spit Brook Road location and Mike Palladino of the Amherst Street location have teamed up to answer the request of runners from previous years for a substantial food offering after the race.

The sizable donation will refuel the runners with a ham and cheese or turkey sandwich, apple, chips, and a Panera Bread cookie. This is the first year a meal will be provided for runners. The Santa Fund Run is also receiving a water donation from A&B Vending Co., who has been a loyal donor to the race over the years.

The Telegraph is expecting more than 500 runners to participate in this year’s race. Proceeds from the race will help kick off The Santa Fund, which enters its 51st year of helping those less fortunate in Greater Nashua during the holidays.

The Telegraph is grateful to Panera Bread and A&B Vending for their generous donations, which allow more of the proceeds from the race to go toward benefiting The Santa Fund.

Participants are urged to bring an unwrapped toy or gift to the race, which will be donated as part of the Santa Fund drive during the holidays.

Technical long-sleeve shirts and elf hats will be given to the first 500 runners who register online. If any shirts or elf hats are left, they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on race day.

Race bibs for those who register online before October 15, will feature the runner’s name.

Medals are awarded to males and females in 10 age categories, and overall race winners are recognized.
