Letter: I’d like another term in the Houses

To my constituents in Allenstown, Epsom and Pittsfield:

I’m running for re-election to the Legislature, from the new floterial district that includes Allenstown, Epsom and Pittsfield. I hope to continue some of the work I’ve started this term, examining the fees and restrictions set in rules, which are the additions and embellishments to our laws written by state agencies rather than the Legislature. This work doesn’t make headlines, but it’s part of how the people’s representatives oversee unelected officials.

Many people have thanked me for publicly reporting what’s happening in Concord, and if elected I will continue to regularly write letters to the editor. More details are available in my email newsletter; if you’re interested I’ll be glad to add you to the distribution list.

The only campaign promise I’ll make is to listen respectfully to my constituents and read all the letters and emails you send me on any issue of importance to you. I can’t promise to vote as you want – after all, on most issues I hear from people on every side – but I do promise to listen.

Your letters have informed me on an amazing range of issues, since nobody can be an expert on everything.

Please vote for me on Nov. 6.

Rep. CAROL McGUIRE

Epsom
