Letter: A better choice for Allenstown
Two state representatives running as a team for re-election on Tuesday are Rep. Jon Richardson in Merrimack County District 22 representing Allenstown and Rep. Carol McGuire from Merrimack County District 29 representing Allenstown, Epson and Pittsfield.
Both candidates are strong supporters of House Speaker Bill O’Brien’s radical agenda for New Hampshire and favor right-to-work legislation that will hurt middle-class workers. They claim that this legislation will help employees, but just the opposite is true. That is why no other New England state has right-to-work laws. Let’s call a spade, a spade. This simply is union-busting legislation so workers will work for less pay.
Voters in Allenstown have a choice. Vote Alan Turcotte for state representative in District 22. Vote Nancy Heath in District 29. Both candidates strongly oppose right-to-work bills.
