Letter: Two better choices for Andover voters
State Rep. Jenn Coffey is running as the incumbent to represent Andover, Salisbury and Danbury in newly-constituted Merrimack County District 1. In her campaign literature she talks about the need for more jobs, better services and better health care – issues with which I agree. But during the past two years she and her fellow Republicans have worked more diligently on cutting funding for education, on ensuring that everybody can carry guns and knives wherever they want, and on cautioning New Hampshire motorists that they are about to enter Massachusetts.
I urge voters to replace her as state representative by voting for Mario Ratzki in District 1, and to also vote for David Karrick in Merrimack County District 25 (Andover, Salisbury, Danbury, Warner and Webster), both of whom will bring a more balanced, common-sense approach to the really important issues facing our towns and our state.
