Fiddler to teach
improv skills class

Fiddler Lissa Schneckenburger teaches a different approach to music tonight at 7 at the Concord Community Music School. Her “Learning by Ear Part I” workshop is geared toward the curious classical student who may want to branch out into improvisation, jam sessions or different genres of music.

Participants are asked to bring an instrument, pencil, paper and a tape recorder (or some other high-tech device) to the workshop. All instruments, ages and skill levels are welcome. A second installment of the workshop will follow Dec. 20, also at
7 p.m.

Schneckenburger, a New England Conservatory of Music graduate, has performed in Russia, Holland, Belgium, Sweden and Denmark. Her most recent recording, Dance, includes an array of traditional fiddle tunes. For more information on her workshops, call the music school at 228-1196, ext. 24, or visit online.
