Workers moved appliances into place and tidied up Concord’s new Friendly Kitchen earlier this week to get it ready for its patrons. The contractor, Cobb Hill Construction, hopes to hand over the keys of the South Commercial Street building to the organization by Friday. The soup kitchen is opening in the new location after its Montgomery Street building was gutted by fire in 2011. Construction started in mid-July this year, according to thefriendlykitchen.org.
