The Concord Audi ramps up holiday programming
Holiday programming is in full force at the Concord City Auditorium with dance, theater and community gatherings all on tap up to Christmas Eve.
This weekend, the Audi is jammed with good cheer. Along with the venue’s participation in the Art Concord gallery tour, exhibiting work from Kimball-Jenkins students in its lobby, there will be the seventh annual “Holiday Spectacular” from 1 to 6:30 p.m.
Presented by Cindy Flanagan’s Concord Dance Academy, the program benefits the Friendly Kitchen, Toys for Tots and Audi upgrades. Tickets are $12 at the door. The show will also take place Sunday at 1 p.m., with pre-show pictures with Santa.
And at 6 on Sunday, there will be a “Holiday Open House” pot luck supper, put on by the Friends of the Audi. It starts with the “famous Audi Punch,” the community supper and a short meeting, and then a preview of “BELIEVE!” coming next weekend.
The rest of December is filled out with The Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish’s “BELIEVE!,” the Granite State Symphony Orchestra “Holiday Pops!” concert, two Nutcracker ballets, and the All Saints Anglican Church production of the Amahl and the Night Visitors opera.
Bring your canned goods, new toys and old eyeglasses when you come to Audi shows. The collection boxes in the entrance lobby are shared with local pantries and the Lions Club Eyesight Project.
