Letter: Hairsplitting arguments

Manchester police Officer Michael Briggs was a classmate of my husband’s and mine at Epsom Central School. We loved Mike and were saddened by his murder.

Michael Addison had more than a fair trial. For his lawyers to make hairsplitting arguments to avoid justice is a bigger injustice. Officers serve but also stand for law and justice.

The death penalty worked in the past and that was for horse stealing. Society had in many ways a higher standard.

Rope is cheap and reusable, taxpayers!
