Letter: Clear thinking prevails

Thanks to the Sunday Monitor for the wise insights and suggestions in your editorial about fossil fuels, climate change and rising sea levels (“Fossil-fuel campaign must be rebuffed,” Dec. 2).

Having recently moved to New Hampshire to enjoy the many attractive features of the state, I’m pleased to see the clear thinking that prevails here too.

The American Legislative Exchange Council is clearly driven by it sponsors’ profits. We need to give priority to people and a livable planet!

We need border control -- at our border with Massachusetts! Don't burn fossil fuels? A nice concept if you're young, healthy and have the physical dexterity to lug bags of wood pellets or cordwood. How about the elderly and infirm? How are they supposed to stay warm this winter? "Clear thinking that prevails here?" Hardly.
