UNH men’s hockey team ties U.S. Under-18 team, 2-2

Fit to be tied

The University of New Hampshire men’s hockey team played to a 2-2 tie with the U.S. National Under-18 team yesterday.

Casey Thrush and Kevin Goumas each tallied a goal in the game.

Thrush gave UNH a 1-0 lead after the first period, and Goumas’s goal with the team’s skating 4-on-4 gave the Wildcats a 2-0 lead after two.

Team USA scored twice in a span of 36 seconds midway through the third period for the final score. UNH goalie Jeff Wyer made 28 saves.
