The police have issued a warrant for 29-year-old Timothy Ruff in connection to yesterday’s robbery at the South Street Citizens Bank. Ruff, of Concord, is wanted for felonies of theft by unauthorized taking and unarmed robbery, according to the police.

The police said Ruff, who is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 180 pounds, could be in the Lawrence, Mass. area. Ruff has blue eyes and red dyed hair, and while he typically has a goatee-style beard the police believe he may have shaved it off since the robbery.

Officials said a man entered the bank at about 10:25 a.m. yesterday and handed a note to the teller demanding cash. The man fled west with an undisclosed amount of money, then was believed to have left the area in a blue, four-door Honda Civic, according to the police.

The robber was wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and either hiking or construction boots at the time of the incident, the police said.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Concord Regional Crimeline at 226-3100.
