Cornerstone names Pratte new executive director
A former staffer for Republican Congressman Frank Guinta has been named the new executive director of Cornerstone Policy Research and Cornerstone Action.
Ashley Pratte will take over for Shannon McGinley, who has been the group’s acting executive director since the summer, when Kevin Smith left the role to run for governor.
Cornerstone led efforts in the last legislative session to repeal gay marriage, restrict abortion and support free-market economic policy.
Pratte was a constituent liaison for Guinta in his Manchester office and has political and legislative experience, McGinley said yesterday in announcing the hire.
She will begin with Cornerstone next month.
In a statement, Pratte said she’s looking forward to the upcoming legislative session.
“We will focus on New Hampshire families, education, youth outreach, and putting an end to human trafficking here in our state,” she said. “New Hampshire will succeed only when its families succeed, and I will work tirelessly for that cause.”
