Henniker police arrest 1, issue warrant for another in campground pot case
The Henniker police have arrested one man and issued a warrant for another who they say were involved in a large marijuana operation at a local campground.
Trevor Gattoni, 26, was arrested and charged with the manufacture of a controlled drug last month. The police issued a warrant for another person, 28-year-old Ian Peters, who was last living in Weare.
Detective Stephen Dennis said the police issued the warrant several weeks ago but have been unable to locate Peters.
These are just the latest arrests stemming from a growing operation the police said they uncovered at Henniker’s Rock ’n’ Birch Campground. In September the police charged 31-year-old Justin Douglas for his alleged involvement.
Now the police believe the camper that had been converted into a grow house, and insulated to keep the smell from seeping out, was owned by Gattoni, according to Dennis. He said Douglas was living there, and Peters was helping in the operation.
Dennis said Gattoni was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail.
Anyone with information about Peters’s location is asked to call the Concord Regional Crimeline at 226-3100 or the Henniker Police Department at 428-3213.
