Hopkinton School District Business Administrator Michelle Clark named Business Administrator of the Year

Hopkinton School District Business Administrator Michelle Clark was this week named Business Administrator of the Year by the New Hampshire Association for Business Officials, a nonprofit that represents the field across the state. Clark, who has worked in the role for the last eight years, was notified of the decision at the district’s school board meeting Tuesday. Clark said she had known she was nominated but had not expected to win. “I’m very surprised and very honored,” she said. “But I could not have gotten this award without the great support I have, both from the administration and from the school board.” Superintendent Steven Chamberlin lauded Clark’s iron work ethic and broad skill set. “She’s an extraordinary business administrator with an incredible knowledge of the field,” Chamberlin said, adding that it was Clark who in large part mentored him when he transitioned four years ago from principal to his current role. “The community trusts her. Her colleagues trust her. And she does what is great for these kids and these schools.” Clark will receive the award at the state’s Excellence in Education Awards gala in June.

As a member of the school board, I have to say that this honor is well deserved. District families may not know Michelle, but they experience her dedication and passion every day through the things she has done and continues to do for all of us. Matt Cairns
