Letter: Even through the snow, the ‘Monitor’ arrived

Congratulations to the Monitor’s valiant, courageous carriers who were the only delivery guys (girls, if it applies) on during the Saturday snowstorm. As of 6 p.m. Monday, the U.S. Postal Service had yet to deliver. The New York Times delivered Saturday and Sunday together. The Wall Street Journal delivered Saturday’s paper with Monday’s. Maybe the post office is practicing a ermanent elimination of Saturday delivery – it has certainly vacated its old standard of carriers never being deterred by rain, snow, hail, gloom of night, war, pestilence, etc. It may be progress, but I really missed The New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Bless the ever faithful Monitor.
