Caring Gifts’ shares the three most popular Valentine’s Day gifts
WITH VALENTINE’S Day fast approaching yesterday, Caring Gifts on North Main Street found itself busy with customers making the last-minute scramble to buy a gift for their sweethearts.
“The last few days have been just a little bit crazy,” said co-owner Donna Mark.
So, what were the three most popular items people were picking up for that special someone?
1. The Cookie Bouquet: A combination of four jumbo chocolate chip cookies, four brownies and four whoopie pies in a rose-shaped box.
2. The 50 Shades of Fun gift box, for those feeling a bit more risque. It includes massage cream, candy handcuffs, and X-rated fortune cookies. It’s all put together in a gift box with red ribbons, so no one walking by you on the street can see what’s inside.
3. Balloons attached to bags of Hershey’s Kisses and heart-shaped chocolates. This is a popular purchase among younger buyers to share with their high school sweethearts, and Mark said several have been purchased by St. Paul’s students.
If you’re still looking to make a last-minute purchase, you’re not alone.
“Usually for Valentine’s Day, (people) don’t think terribly far ahead,” Mark said.
