Test your political smarts with the Monitor’s caricature contest
Over the past quarter century, Monitor cartoonist Mike Marland has drawn dozens upon dozens of caricatures of political figures. Some have been on the public stage for years. Some were brief sensations, barely remembered at all. Some held political office, in the state or in Washington. (Some still do.) Some dreamed of running in our presidential primary but then reconsidered. How many do you recognize?
Our quiz starts above in the photo gallery with older, more difficult images near the end. Want to play? Send an email to Editor Felice Belman (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Friday identifying as many images as you can. Identify your answers by number (1 through 50). Please, no giving away answers. The winner will get a color caricature of him- or herself – drawn by Marland, of course. In the case of a tie, we will pick a winner at random from among our savviest contestants. Enjoy.
