A night out devoted to finances

Sorry dudes, this one’s for the ladies. So, women of Concord, put on your hottest golden parachute and get ready for one savvy night on the town.
The Gateway Center at 25 Hall St., Suite 1A, will host a “Ladies Night Out” financial wellness workshop March 1 at 5:30 p.m., but today is the last day to RSVP. If you want to take the bull out of the bull market, it’s time to contact Cassandra Sweatt at 387-4677 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This women’s-only financial wellness workshop promises information “that will make it easy to make financial decisions” and answers questions like “what are the 3 Ds of investing?” We always thought it was daiquiris, daydreams and disregard, but you might as well attend anyway in case they’ve added another.
It’s never a good idea to lose your shirt on ladies night, and this workshop is the perfect way to avoid such a scenario. It may be sexist to associate women with washing clothes, but you could come home armed with everything you’ve ever wanted to know about laundering. (Legal disclaimer: money laundering techniques are unlikely to be taught at the workshop.)
Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served, and the event is free, but seating is limited, so pre-registration is required.

Money troubles got you down? We’ve got one word for you: free wine.
Is that two words? How many glasses have we had anyway?
Tonight is the eighth annual Heart of the Grape Wine Tasting at The Courtyard by Marriott/Grappone Conference Center. Stop by and you could sample more than 100 quality wines from around the world, though if you are planning on sampling all 100 during the two-hour event, might we recommend reserving a room upstairs first?
General admission will be between 7 and 9 p.m., with tickets costing $30 per person if they are purchased online at ch-trust.org.
