Concord Boys & Girls Club to hold ground-breaking ceremony
The Concord Boys & Girls Club will hold a ground-breaking ceremony at 10 this morning for the $3.7 million renovation project it is undertaking at its Bradley Street facility.
The makeover, which could take between six and seven months to complete, will include new insulation, a learning kitchen, teen and kindergarten spaces and a 50-car parking lot, among other things.
“It is about as close as you can get to not tearing down the structure,” Executive Director Chris Emond said in April.
The club has been based at the facility for nearly three decades. It is currently operating out of the former Eastman School, and plans to stay there until the project is completed.
