Mandigo attorney waives probable cause hearing
The Concord man charged this month with breaking into a home on North State Street and sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl waived yesterday’s scheduled probable cause hearing.
Dave Mandigo, who has a long record of sexually related crimes, is being held on $100,000 cash bail for allegedly entering the residence at 4 a.m. and touching the girl beneath the sheets as she slept in her upstairs bedroom.
The girl’s mother spotted the intruder, who then said, “Oh my God,” before pulling his hands away and walking past her without saying a word, a detective wrote in an affidavit. The police arrested Mandigo, 42, less than 12 hours later, and have since said they also suspect him in a similar crime committed recently in the same area, near where Mandigo takes part in sex offender counseling.
Mandigo has been arrested several times since 1995, prosecutor Tracy Connolly said during his arraignment, for crimes ranging from indecent exposure to trying to use his cell phone to snap pictures beneath several women’s skirts.
