Looking for the nitty-gritty on the N.H. Senate’s draft budget?
The Senate will vote on its version of the next two-year state budget next week. That’ll kick off the final stage of the budget process, the committee of conference where negotiators from the Democratic-controlled House and Republican-controlled Senate will try to hammer out a compromise budget for the two fiscal years that begin July 1.
For now, numbers geeks can dig into details of the Senate Finance Committee’s budget on the nonpartisan Legislative Budget Assistant’s website.
A lot of useful budget documents have been gathered here. They include the latest version of the surplus statement for the Senate draft budget, a breakdown of changes from the House’s budget and PDFs of the actual amendments to House Bill 1 and House Bill 2 that will be voted on by the Senate next week.
