N.H. state police: 3-year-old girl drowns in Sunapee
A 3-year-old girl drowned yesterday at Perkins Pond in Sunapee, according to the state police’s Marine Patrol.
The girl had been playing with relatives outside a house on the pond when her mother realized she had been missing for several minutes, according to a news release. She was then found in the water about 10 to 15 feet from shore, the police said.
The girl was taken out of the water and given CPR, but she was pronounced dead at New London Hospital, the police said.
Her name wasn’t immediately released, pending notification of family members.
