What was your favorite part of Market Days? Ours was Market Days. There was certainly plenty to choose from: tons of local bands, more food than you could possibly eat (it’s true – we tried), three straight days of 240 percent humidity and violent thunderstorms. Okay, the last one may not have been a highlight, but it did give the festival another opportunity to showcase Concord’s tremendous community spirit when countless people helped rebuild the damaged sites after one particularly destructive overnight storm.

So what’s our point? Glad we asked. Today is your opportunity to offer your official Market Days feedback, when Intown Concord hosts a Post-Market Days Community Gathering at the Barley House, beginning downstairs in the B-Lounge at 5:30 p.m., with the program getting under way at 6 p.m. It’s a time to share ideas and thoughts, as well as thank Market Days vendors, and it is open to everyone. Also, in regard to the wild storm we mentioned, there will be an unveiling of a new Intown Concord/Nearby Registry partnership to support affected participants.

RSVP through the event page on Facebook (which you can find through Intown Concord’s page at Facebook.com/intown
concord) or contact marketdays@intownconcord.org with questions.

They say that hindsight is 20/20. But if you spent all your time looking backwards, you’d run into all kinds of stuff. Speaking of which, look out! Anyway, sometimes it’s better to have a little foresight. So we suggest you get your tickets now for Friday’s New Hampshire Music Festival: A Choral Celebration show at the Capitol Center for the Arts. The show features a program including Handel, Mozart, Respighi and Vivaldi. Not featured? Jovi. Tickets range from $25 to $40 and can be purchased at tickets.ccanh.com.
