N.H. News Roundup: Get your ice cream fix, medical marijuana could get pricey
Summer is starting to wind down here in the Granite State, but don’t hang your Halloween decorations quite yet. The sun is still out for a little while longer, and that means it’s still ice cream season!
I’ve never lived anywhere where ice cream stands were so prevalent. I’m not a huge dairy or sweets guy, but it’s still hard to pass up when you know the ice cream is freshly made, and the place you’re getting it from cares so much about its product.
There’s so many stands and business around that are ice cream centric, that it appears everyone is eager to rank them.
Here’s New Hampshire Magazine’s Best of New Hampshire Best of NH 2013 Desserts, Ice Cream Stands and Bakeries.
WMUR also wanted to get in on the action. Jordan’s Ice Creamery in Belmont took its top honor.
Our friends at the Concord Insider also dedicated an entire issue to the frozen treat last year.
But they’re still at it, naming Molly Lanigan of Arnie’s Place in Concord its “Scooper of the Week” in the Aug. 7 issue.
Not sure where you can find the nearest place to satify your sweet tooth? NH.com has a big, long list for you.
Also, if you’re in the Conway area, you can give the new kid on the block, Bobby Sue’s, a try, too.
For the record, I’m a pistacio kind of guy.
