Five taken to Concord Hospital after two-car crash in Chichester

Five people were taken to Concord Hospital after a two-car crash yesterday afternoon on Route 4 in Chichester, officials said.

The collision at the intersection of King Road and Dover Road was reported shortly after 5 p.m., said Officer William Byrne of the Chichester Police Department.

Five of the six people involved were taken to the hospital for treatment. Two had serious injuries and three had what Deputy Fire Chief Matthew Cole described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The two vehicles collided at an angle, Byrne said. He declined to say if either driver was at fault, saying the incident was under investigation.
