How long have area superintendents been leading their districts?

Superintendent Mike Martin has led the Merrimack Valley and Andover school districts since 1999, making him the area’s longest-serving superintendent. Here’s a look at how long other superintendents have led their districts:

∎ Chris Rath has served as superintendent of the Concord School District since 2000.

∎ Helene Bickford and Patricia Sherman, who are co-superintendents at School Administrative Unit 53, were both hired in 2011. That district includes Pembroke, Epsom, Allenstown, Chichester and Deerfield.

∎ Dean Cascadden was hired as superintendent of the Bow School District in 2007.

∎ Steven Chamberlin, who leads the Hopkinton School District, began in 2009.

∎ Maureen Ward, superintendent in Franklin and Hill, came to the district in 2010.

∎ Tammy Davis began leading the Winnisquam Regional School District, which encompasses Tilton, Northfield and Sanbornton, in 2006.

∎ Jerry Frew started as superintendent of the Kearsarge Regional School District in 2008. That district includes Bradford, Newbury, New London, Springfield, Sutton, Warner and Wilmot.
