Concord police: Woman drunkenly crashed into pole
A 27-year-old Concord woman was arrested early last night after driving into a telephone pole on North State Street, just north of the state prison, the police said.
Lt. Cory Casey said the Concord police responded to the single-vehicle crash at 6:16 p.m. The driver, Kristina Lakeman, was found to have a blood alcohol level above the legal limit and has been charged with driving under the influence subsequent, a Class A misdemeanor indicating she has been convicted within the past 10 years of a similar offense.
Lakeman sustained minor injuries and was transported to Concord Hospital, where she was undergoing treatment as of last night, Casey said. Court and bail information was not yet available, Casey said.
No other people were injured or involved in the crash. The telephone pole was being repaired, Casey said.
