Police: Teen says he was attacked while walking in Boscawen

A teenager is recovering after he said he was assaulted Saturday night while walking in Boscawen, according to authorities.

Boscawen police Chief Kevin Wyman said the 17-year-old boy, whose identity has not been released because he is a minor, told authorities he was walking along King Street about 8 p.m. when two unknown men emerged from a nearby forested area and began physically attacking him for no apparent reason. At one point, the teen said according to the police, one of the men told him he “deserved to die.”

The boy suffered minor injuries – scrapes, bruises and a possible mild concussion – in the altercation, Wyman said, and he managed to walk home where he reported the attack to his father. He was transported to the hospital and released later that night, Wyman said.

Wyman said the teen has been unable to provide a description of his alleged attackers, but an investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information related to the attack may call the Boscawen Police Department at 753-9124.
