Concord: Contoocook man dies after vehicle crashes into tree
A 72-year-old Contoocook man died yesterday after his silver Ford Explorer crashed into a tree along Horse Hill Road, according to the Concord police.
The accident, which was reported about 11:15 a.m., involved no other vehicles or people, the police said. The man, whose identity was not released pending family notification, was transported to Concord Hospital and later pronounced dead.
The accident occurred near the intersection with Runnells Road. Horse Hill Road was closed until about 3 p.m. while investigators inspected the scene, the police said. Authorities last night had yet to determine the cause of the crash.
