Fire at 23 Downing St. in Concord leaves one injured
One person was taken to Concord Hospital this morning with an ankle injury and smoke inhalation incurred while fleeing from a fire at 23 Downing St.
The fire was reported at 11:11 this morning, and the Concord Fire Department reached the scene three minutes later to find smoke coming out the windows on both floors of the building. Three fire engines, a tower truck and three ambulances responded to the call.
The fire was contained just before noon, leaving what fire officials described as extensive damage inside.
