Belmont teen allegedly makes prank bomb threat to Walmart in Maine
The police said a prank bomb threat at a Maine Walmart was made by a 14-year-old boy from Belmont.
The police said the call to the Skowhegan store came in just before 9 p.m. Saturday.
Skowhegan Chief Ted Blais told the Morning Sentinel the few customers and workers still inside just before closing were evacuated and a bomb-sniffing dog was brought in, but nothing dangerous was found.
Using the store’s caller ID system, the call was traced to a Belmont home.
Blais said it was simply a prank.
He said the call remains under investigation but he expects the boy to be charged.
