Small fire put out at Concord Steam

A small fire broke out yesterday on the roof of Concord Steam’s plant on the state hospital campus off Pleasant Street.

“It involved some equipment on the roof of the plant structure,” said Concord fire Chief Dan Andrus.

Andrus said the fire department received a call about the fire yesterday at 12:45 p.m. The one-alarm blaze was under control before 1:30.

Because the building is on state property, Andrus said the state fire marshal is investigating the fire’s cause.
